BIOGRAPHY
Clemens Briels began his career in advertising as a graphic designer, illustrator, art director and creative director before becoming a full-time artist around 1990. His work is known for bold colour, expressive forms and a distinctive visual language shaped by his artistic philosophy, Antipodism, which he describes as “images from unknown sources.” Working across painting, sculpture, glass and furniture design, Briels developed an international career with exhibitions across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia. A key career milestone came in 2002, when he was selected as the official artist for the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
