BIOGRAPHY
Born in Haarlem, Frederik Willem Alexander Peter Breebaart spent part of his childhood in Curaçao, whose colors and landscapes became a lasting source of inspiration. Encouraged to pursue art while studying in Delft, he developed from abstraction and surrealism toward a distinctive naïve style characterized by bright, detailed scenes of landscapes, architecture, and people. Breebaart exhibited internationally across Europe, Curaçao, Israel, and the United States, while also creating commissioned portraits and life-story paintings. His long association with galleries in Curaçao led to notable calendar commissions for Stichting Monumentzorg and the Nationale Postcode Loterij.
