BIOGRAPHY
Giovani Zanolino is a contemporary visual artist born in 1986 in Périgueux, France, and raised in Curaçao. Introduced to art by his father, artist Philippe Zanolino, he developed an early connection to creative practice. Influenced by Curaçao’s vibrant culture and colors, as well as Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, he explores identity through mixed media, collage, painting, and digital art, often returning to the question, “Who am I?” His French-Italian and Indian-Persian heritage by his parents, further informs his perspective.
In 2020, he founded Zanolino Gallery & Atelier to showcase and promote the arts and culture of Curaçao. The Gallery closed his doors in 2024. He was also named one of France’s 24 best undiscovered artists and worked with artist Rob Scholte at the Rob Scholte Museum.
