BIOGRAPHY

Boy practice includes paintings in oil, acrylic and mixed media, as well as sculptures in clay and bronze. He also works as an engraver and calligrapher and produces ceramics. Boy’s work is guided by emotion, beauty and a search for deeper meaning. Through experimentation with techniques, methods and unexpected materials, he continues to challenge himself artistically. He is especially inspired by the COBRA movement. The Caribbean remains a continuous source of inspiration in his work. Its colors, earth and water tones and distinctive light reflect his Curaçaoan origins.
