BIOGRAPHY

George Struikelblok is a Surinamese visual artist whose practice encompasses painting, sculpture, installation and public art. His work combines abstraction with figurative elements and recurring signs, letters and numbers. Themes of love, loss, family and human connection are central to his practice. Struikelblok has exhibited internationally, completed residencies at Duende in Rotterdam, the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and the Vermont Studio Center, and founded G-Art Blok in Paramaribo to support contemporary art, youth education and international exchange.
