In Curaçao, his work is represented by Gallery Alma Blou in Willemstad, where he has also held several solo exhibitions. After many exhibitions, he established a showroom on the Amstel in his live/work house, with a studio in the garden. His outdoor studio for large stone works later moved from Amsterdam to Egmond, where a sculpture garden was created to display large stone sculptures on pedestals.

Since 2011, De Bont has also painted during the winter months. In painting, he has moved away from the formal and symbolic development that characterized his sculpture, instead creating complex figurative compositions with layered storylines and deliberate narrative contrasts.
