Individual or group exhibitions were only held for 3 weeks. This also differs from other exhibitions’ places. As the gallery depended only on the sales of the artwork, this was important. As a commercial gallery, having an exhibition occupying the space for a month without sales was disastrous for the cash flow. One of the main advantages for the artist as well as for the gallery was that the gallery kept work in stock for the artists. Collectors were happy to have the opportunity to have the gallerist involved with the buying of artwork that suits their needs.

In the 30 years of being dealer and curator of exhibitions Gallery Alma Blou has been instrumental in the development of cultural turn around for the appreciation of the local art.
